A Japanese company recently developed a non-pneumatic tires, it made significant progress in durability, safety and noise reduction and so on. Previously non-pneumatic tires were developed, but were not widely used because of noise and other issues.
Japan's Toyo Rubber Industry Company said that the newly developed non-pneumatic tire called "no air", mainly for ordinary passenger cars. The outer diameter of the tire is 54 cm and the width is 14 cm. The outside of the tire is rubber, and the inner core is made of carbon fiber reinforced composite. A tire has 100 spokes made of high-performance resin, which can better disperse pressure and reduce noise so that the noise is almost the same as ordinary inflatable tires.
Compared with the ordinary inflatable tires produced by this company, this non-pneumatic tire is also similar or even better in terms of durability, rolling resistance and braking performance.
